New named places and street segments in EWS Europe

ROAD DISTANCE MATRIX (EWS) UPDATED AND EXTENDED

The 2009 release of EWS Germany, EWS Europe, and EWS Maut (Tolls in Germany), has been available since the beginning of the year.

In addition to the annual updates of place entries and node allocations EWS Europe 2009 has been expanded, primarily with the place data for 14 Eastern European countries; and thus includes approximately 110,000 more places than it did before.

Throughout Europe 400 street segments were added on the long-distance routes and were considered in the new calculation of the respective distance matrices. Also the connection to Great Britain and the Scandinavian countries were improved by the inclusion of additional nodes.
